Non-profits and advocates across the U.S. mark National Caregivers Day on Friday, Feb. 20.
This is a moment to honor the hard work and sacrifice of both professional and family caregivers across the country.
Advocates say caregivers work tirelessly for little to no appreciation, and now is the time to make sure they have the support they need, while supporting others.
Rebecca Hobbs-Lawrence is the Pathways Program & Grief Services coordinator at The Dougy Center, joined us on AM Extra to share ways the Portland non-profit is working to help people who dedicate part of their lives to others.
