Making MemoriesMemory Stone
Memory Stone Craft

This Memorial Day—or any day—help a child in your life remember a loved one who has died with this special art project.

Memory Stones
This project is best for kids ages five and up, and usually takes 30 to 40 minutes to complete. The goal is to provide you and the child with an opportunity to create an object (a diploma, heart, flower, train, etc.) that will serve to honor, remind and connect you to the person who died.

Materials you will need include:
- Oven-baked clay (Fimo or Sculpey)
- Tools for cutting, shaping and writing in clay
- Paint and brushes (optional)

Instructions:
1. Mold the clay into a meaningful shapes. These will become memory stones.

2. Write words or add details to the clay that are important.

3. Bake the clay memory stones according to package directions.

4. Decorate the memory stones with paint if desired.

4.Share your memory stones with each other.
