Dougy Center's L.Y.G.H.T. program for teens and young adults in foster care is starting its first groups in Portland.

Based on The Dougy Center Model, L.Y.G.H.T. (Listening and Led by Youth in Foster Care: Grief, Hope, and Transitions) is an evidence-based peer grief support program for youth in foster care impacted by both death and non-death losses.

In collaboration with local community partners, Project Lemonade and New Avenues for Youth, and funding from the Portland Children’s Levy, L.Y.G.H.T. peer grief support groups for teens and young adults in foster care (or recently out of foster care) are launching in early 2026.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining L.Y.G.H.T., call or text 503.939.8118.
