Through our National Center for Grieving Children and Families we provide support and training locally, nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief.

Regence Community Partner
In 2008, Regence adopted The Dougy Center for Grieving Children as one of a handful of Community Partner Organizations (CPOs) supported by the company.
Regence has worked with The Dougy Center to create a long-term, rich partnership, including collaborating to identify immediate and future funding needs. As a CPO, The Dougy Center has received comprehensive assistance such as financial grants, event support, board member involvement, featured placement in the Regence Employee Giving Campaign and employee volunteer support.
Regence’s goal is to have a richer, more meaningful partnership that delivers more dollars and overall support to The Dougy Center and leaves the organization stronger than before the partnership began.
The Dougy Center indentified educational materials as a priority need. By supporting the Education Materials Expansion Project, Regence is funding the creation and marketing of DVDs, curriculum guides, guidebooks and/or booklets. Titles include:
* After a Suicide Death
* Facilitating Skills
* Assisting Families
* Helping Children
* Helping Teens
Regence also looks for unique opportunities to highlight CPOs such as The Dougy Center. The Dougy Center was chosen as the beneficiary of the Regence Grand Floral Walk – a new Portland Rose Festival event in 2008. Regence and Dougy Center supporters will again walk side-by-side in 2009 as the event and partnership continues.
The Dougy Center makes an incredible impact in the lives of children and families struggling with grief. Regence is proud to support such an important mission.
