The Dougy Center

Friends Asking Friends

The “Friends asking Friends” campaign and other generous funding have helped The Dougy Center increase the number of peer support groups from 23 to 26 groups. We raised approximately $30,000 from the “Friends asking Friends” Campaign during our 25th Anniversary year.

We have focused on expanding our services over the last two years. In 2005, we opened a new center in Canby, Oregon to serve families in the outer east side and the surrounding rural areas. We have also added a bilingual support group for Spanish speaking families at our Southeast Portland location. In 2006 we expanded our services to Hillsboro, OR, including a bilingual support group for that area as well.

The Dougy Center receives no government funds or insurance reimbursement and we never charge a fee to families.

Although the 25th Anniversary year is past, if you wish to use “Friends asking Friends” to ask your friends, relatives, and associates to help you support The Dougy Center, please contact Heidi Kissinger, Development Assistant, at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
