Help for Young Adults
We offer two groups for young adults, one for people 18-25 and one for people 26-35ish who have experienced the death of a relative, partner or friend. Based on a peer support group model, the group is an opportunity to meet with other people who are dealing with the vast and at times overwhelming range of reactions we can experience after a death. In a safe, non judgmental environment, people are invited to share their personal experiences with grief, ask questions of the group, and provide support for the other participants. We have a series of guidelines, including our commitment to protecting confidentiality and refraining from giving advice, which help maintain the open and accepting atmosphere.
The groups are ongoing, free of charge, and meet every other week for 1.5 hours in the evening.
