A Brief History of Walker House

  • In 2005 the Walker L. Bean Foundation purchased a house in Canby, Oregon for Dougy Center to hold peer grief support groups.
  • The house was named Walker’s House in memory of Walker Bean, son of Warren and Bernice Bean, who died when he was 15.
  • In partnership with Willamette Falls Hospice, we started two groups at Walker’s House.

Closure Notices: In Clackamas County, if the Canby School District is closed due to inclement weather, Walker’s House will not have groups. If Walker’s House is closed for any other reason, we will post that information on the homepage of this website as well as on social media.
