Kid’s invited to have cookies with Cookie Monster

Enjoy Cookies with Cookie Monster, and learn more about Sesame Street’s new initiative to help grieving children and their families.

The free event is Thursday, April 15 at Oaks Park Pavilion

Preschoolers and their parents are invited to join Sesame Street’s “walkaround” Cookie Monster character for cookies and activities on Thursday, April 15, at Oak’s Park Pavilion, 7805 S.E. Oaks Park Way in Portland, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cookie Monster will make half-hour appearances at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by The Dougy Center for Grieving Children, OPB and Sesame Street, and is free and open to the public.

Nearly 400 people attended the Friends of The Dougy Center Annual Fall Event at the Governor Hotel on November 5, and raised a record $90,000 for programs to help children and families grieving a death.
