Director of Development & Communications for The Dougy Center

The Director of Development & Communications plans, implements, and coordinates fundraising, marketing and communication efforts to meet the objectives of The Dougy Center, in cooperation with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director and the Chief Operations Officer. Maintain and expand support from donors through oversight of fundraising events, annual campaign, special appeals, and stewardship. Develop and execute plans for acquiring new donors and upgrading existing donors. Create and maintain donor contacts through meetings, calls and stewardship. Build major gifts program by creating and maintaining major individual, corporate and foundation donor contacts. Develop and implement a plan to acquire new donors and upgrade existing donors in the context of major and planned giving. As a member of The Dougy Center management team, work to create and implement strategic organizational plans in coordination with all departments. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in a nonprofit organization, appropriate education/training related to successful execution of tasks, experience with donor databases, excellent oral, written and organizational skills, extremely detail-oriented while grasping the overall goals and “self-starting,” and intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
